About EcoGrow

Built from the ground
up.

EcoGrow Farms Limited is a Nigerian agribusiness operating farmland in Ede, Osun State, Nigeria — and building the intelligence tools that African farms have always needed but never had.

We are not a technology company that adopted an agricultural theme. We are farmers who had to become technologists because the tools we needed did not exist.

Our Story

A farm that ran out of excuses and built its own tools.

EcoGrow Farms was founded in 2019 in Nigeria, with a simple premise: that African agriculture deserved intelligence tools built for African conditions — not adapted from systems designed for Iowa or Normandy.

For the first two seasons, we farmed the way most Nigerian operations do: by experience, by proximity, by guesswork. Then in 2021, we lost a tomato block to early blight we didn't detect in time. A maize block failed in a dry spell we had no early warning of. Two seasons. Two preventable losses. Two reasons to build something.

CropSentinel came first — a yield-failure prediction model trained on African satellite imagery and soil data. When it worked on our land, we opened it to others. SoilPulse, HarvestIQ, and IrrigateAI followed. Each one started as a problem on our own farm. Each one is now a product any farmer, cooperative, or agency can deploy.

We remain an operating farm. We grow maize, tomatoes, peppers, cassava, soybeans, and sesame from our Ede, Osun State base. The farm is not a demonstration garden — it is a commercial operation, and every tool we sell is one we depend on ourselves.

What We Stand For

Six principles that drive every decision we make.

We built EcoGrow because we believed African agriculture deserved better. These are the beliefs that shape how we farm, how we build, and who we work with.

🌍
African-First by Design

Every model we build is trained on African crop data. Every product is designed for African infrastructure constraints — including no GSM, no internet, and no electricity grid.

🌾
Skin in the Game

We sell nothing we don't use ourselves. If CropSentinel is wrong on our farm, we lose yield. That accountability makes our products better than those built by people who don't farm.

📡
Data Without Gatekeeping

We believe farmers deserve access to the same quality of intelligence that commodity traders and multinational agribusinesses use. We are building the infrastructure to make that real.

🤝
Partnerships Over Transactions

Our institutional relationships — with agencies, insurers, and government ministries — are built around shared outcomes, not software licences. We measure success by harvest outcomes, not MRR.

📋
Documentation as Infrastructure

Traceability, compliance, and institutional trust are built on records. We treat documentation as a first-class product — not an afterthought — because it's how African agriculture unlocks global markets.

♻️
Sustainable by Necessity

We practise cover cropping, composting, and water-use optimisation because they are economically rational — not because of a marketing brief. Climate-smart farming is profitable farming.

The Team

The people who built EcoGrow — and still run it.

Our team combines agricultural engineering, community development, agribusiness operations, and technology. Everyone at EcoGrow has worked in the field — not just read about it.

"We are not a technology company that named itself after agriculture. We are farmers who had to become technologists because the tools we needed did not exist."

That distinction matters. It means our products are shaped by the experience of losing a harvest, not by a product roadmap written in a co-working space. Every feature in CropSentinel exists because we needed it. Every SMS alert format was tested on our own farmers. Every soil prescription has been cross-checked against our agronomist's judgement on our own fields.
